Easier Now vs Reclaim
Reclaim rearranges your calendar. Easier Now leaves your calendar alone.
Reclaim finds room in your Google Calendar for tasks and habits and moves the blocks as things change. Easier Now keeps your calendar as it is and puts one task on screen in the time between meetings.
Side by side
Both look at your calendar to decide when work can happen. The difference is whether your calendar changes.
| Capability | Easier Now | Reclaim |
|---|---|---|
| What you see when you open it | One task, four buttons | A calendar with blocks placed in it |
| Who moves your calendar | Nothing you marked strict | The app places and moves blocks |
| Two-way Google Calendar sync | ||
| Habits and repeating work | Routines, including after-wake anchors | Recurring habits with flexible windows |
| Estimates learn from your logged minutes | ||
| Overdue work handled one item at a time | Catch-up: one overdue card at a time | Tasks rescheduled automatically |
| Shows you what will not fit today | ||

Where Reclaim is the better fit
If you want your calendar to be the single record of your day, with focus time defended and habits given real slots, Reclaim is built for exactly that. It handles the scheduling side well, works across work and personal calendars, and suits people who trust software to keep their calendar tidy on their behalf.
Where Easier Now is the better fit
Some people find a calendar that rewrites itself unsettling, because the day they agreed to this morning is not the day they are looking at now. Easier Now writes nothing back without being told to. It works in the gaps you already have, handing you one task sized to the time before the next fixed thing.
Two answers to the same question
Both tools ask “when will this actually happen”. Reclaim answers by writing the work into your calendar. Easier Now answers by keeping a queue and telling you what is next.
If seeing the day laid out in blocks helps you, Reclaim’s answer is the better one. If a calendar that changes under you makes the day feel out of your hands, ours is.
What we do that a calendar cannot
A calendar block does not know that you said 30 minutes and took 50. Easier Now logs the real minutes when you finish and uses them for the next estimate, so the plan gets more accurate the longer you use it, rather than staying optimistic forever.
It also says the hard thing out loud. If the work in front of you needs 14 hours and the day has 6 hours left, you are shown what will not fit today, rather than finding out at six in the evening.
Questions about switching
I have abandoned every productivity app. Why would Easier Now be different?
Easier Now has nothing to maintain. There is no board to tidy, no weekly setup and no daily planning session. Miss a fortnight and you are handed the backlog one item at a time, with three buttons under each: skip it, do it today, or mark it done.
What happens when a client blows up my afternoon?
Press Optimise schedule and Easier Now works the rest of the day out again. Your strict commitments stay where they are, your flexible work is refitted into the hours that are left, and anything that no longer fits today is shown to you so you can move it or drop it.
Does it connect to my calendar?
Yes, Google Calendar, both ways. Events come in with prep and travel time added, tasks can be written back as calendar blocks, and you choose which calendars sync. More calendars are on the roadmap. You can also split personal from work, so nobody on your team sees what you do after hours.
