About
Why we built a to-do app that shows one task.
Easier Now was built by Anthony Stratton, who runs Easier Agency and could not pick which of forty open tasks to start. The agency now runs its client work on the app.
Who built it
The person who built Easier Now, and why.
Founder
I could not choose what to start, so I built something that chooses.
Anthony Stratton, founder. Every other app I tried gave me a longer list. Easier Now gives me one task and the hours that task needs.
- Used every day on real client work at the agency
- Every feature was built for a problem we actually had
- Changed regularly, on what the people using it ask for
How we build it
Six rules the product follows.
- One task on screen. You are never shown a list to sort through.
- A missed week is not a punishment. Catch-up hands the work back one card at a time.
- The app picks, you can override. Skip and Later are on every task.
- Your data is yours. Export your tasks or delete them from settings, at any time.
- The tree and the XP are optional. You can pause them or switch them off.
- No weekly setup. You do not rebuild the plan every Sunday.
The name
What Easier Now means.
The work itself is still hard. Writing the proposal takes as long as it takes.
What gets easier is choosing what to start, and knowing whether that task fits in the hours you have left.
Put your list in and see the first task.
Add your tasks, connect Google Calendar, and start.
Know what to do next, all day.
