One overdue task at a time
Each overdue task comes up on its own card, with the rest softened and set back behind it.
Feature
Catch-up walks you back over what you missed, one card at a time, so you can claim the XP you did not collect and decide what still matters.
Each overdue task comes up on its own card, with the rest softened and set back behind it.
Three buttons under the card, and the one you press decides where the task goes next.
The Daily Review lists what you finished, with the logged minutes, and carries the rest to tomorrow.
How it works
Catch-up takes everything that has passed its date and queues it. One card comes up and you answer it: swipe right for Done, swipe left to Skip, or use the three buttons underneath. Your streak, your score multiplier and the timer bar build as you clear cards, so there is a reason to keep moving. Done tops the multiplier up. Skip resets it. Do today carries the task into today without topping the multiplier up.
You set the app up and everything works for ten days. Then you miss two, open a screen with 71 overdue items on it, and never open the app again.
Catch-up is built for that morning. It is a fast way back over what you missed. One card at a time: claim the XP you did not collect, and say whether the thing still matters. Stop after five and the other 66 wait.
Skip is for a routine, because it comes round again. Delete is for a one-off, because it will not, so deleting something you still need means it never returns. Do today is for the third case: the thing you did not get to and want in front of you this afternoon.
Anything you leave alone carries forward on its own.
Easier Now has nothing to maintain. There is no board to tidy, no weekly setup and no daily planning session. Miss a fortnight and you are handed the backlog one item at a time, with three buttons under each: skip it, do it today, or mark it done.
Finishing a task earns XP and grows a tree. It is optional: one setting turns both off, and nothing else about the app changes.
